Software Defined Radio (SDR) is a very broad and sometimes complex subject and we encourage you to research it for yourself - learning is all part of the fun of using these incredibly versatile devices! Results may vary depending on your application and local conditions.

Compatible with most software that supports RTL-SDR receivers.

Tested on WIndows with SDR#, SDR++, SDR Console.

Fully supported by lib-rtlsdr on Linux (most Linux SDR applications use this library to access the receiver).

Important: this receiver uses the Fitipower FC0012 tuner chip, not the more common R820T. Note that the frequency range is limited to 22 to 948MHz and is not suitable for applications outside this range e.g. ADS-B aircraft transmissions on 1090MHz. HF reception below 22MHz requires an up-converter.

Originally designed as a consumer receiver for TV, DAB and FM radio, use of this stick as an SDR receiver is experimental and as such performance my be limited compared to more expensive equipment. Please research the subject thoroughly before buying and make sure you have the information, software and skills required to use the device. We cannot provide support for any application or software, however each stick is individually tested in our workshop with our Marconi test set to make sure it reaches you in working condition.
