Heil headsets with the 'iC' electret (condenser) element specially produced to work with Icom transceivers need DC voltage on the microphone pin to work. As a result, they cannot normally be used with other brands of radio.

In response to customer requests, we have designed this special adapter so you can now use your Heil 'iC' headset with your Kenwood transceiver.

Sturdily made using high quality components, this cable connects your Heil iC headset or HMM-iC hand microphone to your Kenwood transceiver (with 8 pin round microphone connector).

ONLY to be used with Heil 'iC' electret (condenser) microphones. Do NOT use with Heil dynamic headsets e.g. HC-4, HC-5, HC-6 etc. - the DC voltage may cause damage. Please use our dynamic headset adapter instead.
