This USB cable enables you to quickly and easily connect your PicAxe project to your PC for programming. Replaces cable AXE027.
Length approx 1.5m/4ft 9ins (if required, you can add a USB extension cable up to a total of 5m long).
One end has a 3.5mm stereo jack plug wired for PicAxe with 5V inverted levels and can be used with the standard two resistor download circuit (recommended) or direct connection to PicAxe chip. The other end has a USB plug which connects to the PC's USB port. The cable contains a USB to serial converter, which appears as a COM port on the PC. Because our cable uses the standard default FTDI USB ID, it only needs the generic FTDI Windows drivers. This also means it works straight away on Linux and MacOS without any patching.Incorporates the highly regarded FTDI FT232RL chip and is guaranteed to work with all current versions of Windows.
