This cable enables your Kenwood radio to control your KPA500 linear amplifier. The cable assembly has a DE15 female plug which connects to the amplifier's AUX socket and a 7 pin DIN plug to connect to the transceiver's REMOTE socket.

Suits Elecraft linear amplifier model KPA500 and all Kenwood transceivers with a 7 pin DIN REMOTE socket (not the TS-480 which has an mini 8 pin connector).

The following functions are available with this cable:

• PTT - The amplifier switches to transmit and back to receive at the same time as the transceiver.
• ALC - Automatically backs off the transmitter's output power when the amplifier is driven to full power.
