Much improved frequency accuracy (set-up within 2ppm) and reduced drift over time/with temperature (1ppm) over standard RTL-SDRs. 1ppm = 1 part-per-million = 145Hz at 145MHz.

Upgraded R820T2 tuner chip

Various comparisons on the web have concluded that the R820T2 tuner has better performance over the original R820T, including more sensitivity and lower noise floor. Please don't take our word for it, we encourage you to research it for yourself - learning is all part of the fun of using these incredibly versatile devices! RTL2832U/R820T2 1ppm TCXO USB stick v3

There is a huge range of uses for these sticks and masses of documentation and software on the web. Because of this and since new software is released all the time, we do not include any SDR software. No OEM driver CD is included with the device as they are not used in this application. For SDR use, consult your SDR software documentation or website on how to install third party drivers.

The frequency range of an RTL-SDR is nominally 24 – 1766 MHz. With direct sampling (now enabled by software) or a suitable up-converter (e.g. the ham-it-up) HF signals below 30MHz can be received.

Please note: The SMA is not a reverse polarised type as often found on wi-fi equipment.

Use of this stick as an SDR receiver is experimental. Please research the subject thoroughly before buying and make sure you have the information, software and skills required to use the device. We cannot provide support for any application or software, however each stick is individually tested in our workshop with our Marconi test set to make sure it reaches you in working condition.
